FASHION STYLING AND COMMUNICATION

Three-year course

The Fashion Stylist is a professional who creates images, videos and editorial projects to communicate a fashion product. He has a deep cultural knowledge of the world of fashion, new media, trends and visual communication to be able to intercept, understand and rework the changing contents of the sector through the design of images for shooting, videos, fashion films, fashion shows, editorials. 
The Three-year course at IFDA provides an interdisciplinary training course, which includes a concrete cultural base, knowledge of new media and communication techniques integrated trends, fashion design, photography and an in-depth knowledge of textile products. In addition to these skills, the Fashion Stylist will also learn the basics of visual communication and visual merchandising in order to work in all sectors of the fashion system related to styling. The Stylist works closely with creative directors, art directors, photographers to enhance the identity of a brand, magazine or event in the fashion sector. So, in addition to working on his own as a freelance consultant, he can work for a brand or a fashion company, an editorial office, a press office or public relations and event organization agencies and specialize as: stylist, image consultant, account or pr, fashion communication manager, personal stylist, fashion or brand consultant, coolhunter, fashion editor, creative coordinator, digital stylist.

The main requirements for accessing the educational path are the age of majority and a high school diploma of any address. The candidate will then be evaluated through a motivational interview.
Admission is determined by an interview in which you will present a motivational letter describing what motivates you to undertake this course of study. Once you have passed the admission interview, the school office will contact you to provide you with all the information you need to enroll.

- Photography 1 (history of photography, still life and wearable fashion photography, practical shooting on set)

III Year

- Photography 2 (history of cinema, still life and wearable fashion photography, practical shooting on set)
- Final shooting: design of a fashion shoot
- Portfolio creation and Thesis (final editorial project)

FINAL EXAM With External Commission: written examination and oral discussion Thesis.
